Here’s a story about Isabella Garcia whose experience with intermittent fasting. She can do it, so can you. Isabella Garcia is a mother of 2 daughters and gained weight since her pregnancy. Intermittent fasting leads her to lose 10 kilograms in 2 months.

My Journey with Intermittent Fasting

I never really lost weight until I did intermittent fasting.

I’m the type of person who doesn’t like focusing on one thing for a long time. I’ve tried numerous ways for weight loss but most of the time I failed or I just stopped with a little weight loss. It’s extremely difficult for me to recover to my weight before pregnancy.

But I still got curious about weight loss methods and I’ve been looking forward to a way that really works on me. Then here comes intermittent fasting.

Why Intermittent Fasting?

Although I was extremely anxious to lose weight, I have two bottom lines.

First, I will never lose weight through dieting.

Second, I won’t take any weight-loss pills or surgery.

Therefore, I selected intermittent fasting. After all, it is compatible with my basic requirement for weight loss.

Another reason why I’d like to try intermittent fasting lies in the fact that I’m often told by my family or friends that my overweight mainly results from my overeating. I like eating but I can’t control it. I eat too much. I always fail to stand an empty mouth and I’d like to chew all the time. Without gum, I have to eat.

In one word, I know the exact problem with my diet and weight and intermittent fasting just helps me to solve my problem theoretically.

Rough Beginning with Intermittent Fasting

I had a rough beginning with intermittent fasting because hunger was so difficult to beat. Snacks are everywhere in my office and afternoon tea is usually delivered. It was especially difficult in the afternoon time because I usually got hungry easily in the second phase of the day.

I conformed to a constant intermittent fasting procedure when I started from 18:6 diet plan. With dinner skipped, I had breakfast and lunch. The busy morning only allowed me to have a simple breakfast and I always had a big lunch that was my happiest time in a day.

My feasting window ended at about 3 pm every day and I usually ate some vegetables for snacks around that time. To smoothly defeat my hunger, I usually went to bed early during that time in order not to feel any hunger while I was awake. That was a good thing, however, I had to confess because sound sleep is beneficial for weight loss.

The 18:6 diet plan went with me for about 2 weeks before I switched to the 16:8 fasting plan because I realized I could resist hunger for a longer time.

Intermittent Fasting Works on Me!

I didn’t realize intermittent fasting works for me until one of my old friends saw me at a party and she indicated that I looked thin. That night when I got home, I scaled myself and found I had lost 3 kilograms since I started intermittent fasting one month before.

I became confident and would like to see myself in the mirror. Clothes didn’t tell a lie either and I could dress them on.

From then on, intermittent fasting has been a routine of my daily life. Up to now, I’ve lost 8 kilograms and got used to a simple diet with breakfast and lunch with some snacks (fruits only). On weekends, my intermittent fasting is usually broken because I usually have parties or round trips with friends. Moreover, I don’t like rigorous intermittent fasting and I tend to keep a natural way of diet. I usually ask my body if I really need to eat right now. If I feel starving, I’ll eat something no matter that is fasting or feasting window. Therefore, I never feel uncomfortable when I’m doing intermittent fasting because I never give such an opportunity to my body.
